Council Elections

Elections to KID Council are held every three years, with the last election held in October 2010.

In September of an election year, a Nomination Day Notice is posted in local newspapers. Nomination forms are then received by the Returning Officer at the jurisdiction office, with the election following in October.

Following an election, each Council is formally established through a Ministerial Order by the Minister of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation.
